gif2apng software package provides tool for converting animated GIF images to APNG format, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gif2apng
gif2apng is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gif2apng package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gif2apng *
You will get with gif2apng package name, version, architecture and description in a table
